5 Podcasts you need to listen to.

5 podcasts you need to listen to. (If your a girl in your 20s)

In the past 10 years podcasts have been growing in popularity and it could be argued they are replacing radio. For our generation we no longer get into a car and turn on the radio instead we get in our car and turn on our Spotify playlist.

But sometimes we don’t want to listen to music and instead want to listen to a conversation between friends, an interview with your favourite celebrity or even unravel the details of a gory murder that happened in 1942.

Well there is a podcast for all of the above and more. And unlike the radio where you could only switch between a few static channels depending on where you are in the world, with podcasts your options are unlimited.

To help you out with navigating this extensive library of options Ive decided to debrief of 10 of my favourite podcasts (at the moment). This list is a mix between lighthearted, educational and crime podcasts

1. The Girls Bathroom.

The girls bathroom is hosted by best friends Sophia Tuxford and Cinziabayliszullo, the duo also share a YouTube channel and you have probably seen them pop up on your instagram or Pinterest feed. The girls read out dilemmas sent in by viewers and share their advice in a lighthearted and hilarious way. This is the perfect easy listen, thats just like chatting to your best friends.

2. Note to self by Payton Sartain.

Payton Sartan is a 27 year old influencer, each week she tackles a new topic or theme and mixes up her episodes between advice and lighthearted content while also tackling more serious topics and invites guests to diver deeper into certain topics. Her most recent podcast episode discusses the overturn of Roe v Wade, providing an informative insight into what this political change means.

         3.  To live and die in LA.

To live and die in LA is a crime podcast, although whats different about this one is that it the entire          season follows along attempting to solve a crime first hand. So far they have two seasons covering two separate stories. The story is compelling and will have you hooked on your first listen desperate to uncover the truth.

4. Anything goes by Emma Chamberlain

Everyone knows Emma Chamberlain so this one may be self-explanatory but it’s Emma    chamberlain’s podcast and well… anything goes. So it is basically just her talking about everything and anything.   This one is an easy listen and as she has being doing the podcast for quite some time, you should be able to find on discussing exactly what your looking for.

5. Ready, Set, Spill.

Ready, Set, Spill is hosted by CEO and founder of set active Lindsey Carter, each episode she hosts a different guest, from a wide range of fields from CEO’s such as Sabeena Ladha, actresses like Madeline Cline and influencers. Taking a deep dive into their lives from childhood to how they built their business This is a great one if you need some motivation.
